It’s that time of year again!
If you’re a homeowner, you should have received your 2017 tax assessment. Keep in mind that the value is based on a date from LAST YEAR. For my home, in Arapahoe County, the value was “as of June 30, 2016”.
This value is NOT your current market value. Your current market value should be higher.
If you think the value is correct, there’s nothing to worry about.
If you think the value is significantly high, you can appeal your property value. The key is to provide data from last year. If you would like to appeal your value, please let me know and I will provide you with the data you need.
