Changing Loan Servicers
Good morning!
Just a head’s up regarding your loan…
As you probably already know, many lenders sell their loans to other servicers. You’ve probably already experienced this practice. For instance, you’ll be sending your monthly mortgage check to ABC Mortgage and then you’ll get a notice in the mail saying that XYZ Mortgage will now be servicing your loan.
There have been many instances of fraud in this situation, so please be sure to contact your existing mortgage company (ABC) to verify that they have indeed sold the loan to XYZ. Once you’ve verified the switch, you can make your payments as they requested.
