Housing Prices
I saw a short article in the weekend Real Estate section and I wanted to share it with you.
The article looked at 20 cities for the 12 months since February 2007, including:
Denver, -5.5%
Las Vegas, -22.8%
Miami, -21.7%
20 city average, -12.7%
It is important to remember that we didn’t have the huge run-up in prices that Vegas and Miami had, so our decline won’t be nearly as severe. I’m looking at a map I have that shows price changes for many of the neighborhoods around the Denver area and many of them have increased in price. Obviously, there are quite a few other neighborhoods that haven’t performed well and are down 10% or worse. These are areas with potentially excellent investment opportunities.
