Google Maps
I’m sure most of you know about Google Maps, but here are two things that are really helpful, especially if you’re looking at a home to buy and you’re not sure whether you want to drive by it or not.
Street View – Most of the metro area has been photographed. Once you put in an address, click on Street View and it will highlight all of the streets that have this function in blue. You can get a pretty decent view of the front of a home and you can get a feel for the street it’s on.
Satellite – If you want to see the yard size or see the proximity to a road or power lines, this is a very useful feature. Once you put in the address, click on Satellite and then zoom in to see a bird’s eye view of the home.
