Good stock market news
My financial advisor sent this to me a couple days ago. Good stuff!
"I didn't want to let the day pass without mentioning that today was the second anniversary of the US and global stock markets' low point, which occurred on March 9th, 2009.
The intra-day low for the Dow Jones Industrial Average that day was 6,440 and the adjusted closing low for the Dow Jones Global Aggregate Index was 182.
As of yesterday, the Dow Jones Industrial Average had recovered to 12,214 for a two-year gain of 90%, while the Dow Jones Global Aggregate Index closed yesterday at 384, for a gain of 112%. In both cases, that brings the indexes back to where they were in the spring of 2008, about six months before the global crisis would reach it's climax, and about a year before they would reach their lows."
