Home Price Index Shows Denver Improving
Home prices in Denver are showing signs of improvement, judging from the Standard & Poors / Case-Shiller home price index released June 24. The index tracks the value of single-family housing in 20 major metropolitan areas and is released monthly. The index doesn’t report actual selling prices.
Although still showing a negative number for Denver on a year-over-year basis, the index for April revealed a slight change when compared to March.
Denver home prices fell by 5% in March during the past year, but the new report shows a drop of 4.7%.
Denver was third for positive movement, with a month-over-month increase of 0.8%.
